bar harbor – Island reader and creator, in partnership with Jessup Memorial The Library Will Host a Star Occasion Youngsters’s Occasion from Saturday, September 24 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the Jessup Memorial Library. Maine Image Ebook creator and illustrator Jamie Hogan, hailing from Peaks Island, will learn her ebook “Skywatcher” and host an artwork workshop in recognition of Acadia’s 2022 Night time Sky Pageant.

Individuals will discover the constellations and what makes the darkish skies on Mount Desert Island particular. Every participant may even obtain a signed copy of Hogan’s ebook.

‘Skywatcher’ is the story of a younger boy who desires of outer house, however the shiny gentle of the town he lives in hides the celebrities. A journey into the jungle reveals stunning darkish skies, skyline and nocturnal animals.

Hogan has illustrated over a dozen books for kids. He taught illustration on the Maine School of Artwork for 15 years.
